Enjoy a 5-Night/6-Day Yoga Retreat with California-based Susan Hauser and the “Happiest People on the Planet”

Escape to award-winning Nanuku Resort in the South Pacific for a wellness retreat in Pacific Harbour, the “Adventure Capital” of Fiji. Embark on a barefoot luxury wellness journey at this oceanfront oasis to find your flow and learn why the Fijians are consistently named the happiest people on the planet.

This all-inclusive retreat includes ground transportation to and from the airport, luxury accommodations, 3-meals a day, and all wellness experiences and activities listed in the following itinerary. Please note that airfare, alcohol, and spa treatments are an additional expense.

What to Expect on Your Fiji Wellness Adventure:

Thursday, May 4th

If you are coming from California, we recommend you depart from SFO or LAX on a direct overnight flight on Fiji Airways to Nadi International Airport on Fiji Airways that will have you arrive in Fiji on the morning of Saturday, May 6th.

DAY 1: Saturday, May 6th

You’ll be greeted at Nadi International and take a scenic drive to Nanuku Resort, named by Conde Nast Traveler as the 2022 #2 Best Resort in the South Pacific. Receive a traditional Warrior Welcome and start your visit setting your intentions with a Moon Water Meditation Ritual.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and some time to relax and refresh by the swim up pool bar, at your own private plunge pool or at the spa. In the afternoon, we’ll gather for a Warrior Cooking Class and ulnch on the beach. We’ll wrap up the day with Sunset Yoga and a Guided Meditation with Susan Hauser overlooking the turquoise waters of the South Pacific and dinner at Nanuku’s Kanavata Restaurant – or room service, if you prefer.

DAY 2: Sunday, May 7th

Start the day with a Yoga Class with Susan and then join the Nanuku Tribe for their morning ritual and blessing. After breakfast, you’ll have the option of two different hiking experiences – the Burelotu hike along the ocean, or an “Indiana Jones” hike through the rainforest led by machete-wielding guides.

Midday we will gather for lunch and then a Fijian Cultural Class with Papa Lio, where you will learn why the coconut is considered the Tree of Life, how to make baskets, bowls and headbands from coconut fronds, and how to make fire from nature.

Enjoy an afternoon of relaxation and then gather for a dramatic Sunset Yoga Class with Susan and Nanuku’s Wellness Guru, Sisi, a 3-time Olympic athlete and Bronze Medalist in the Commonwealth Games.

During dinner, you will experience a private traditional Fijian Meke Dance Performance and a Kava Ceremony with Fijian Warriors.

Day 3: Monday, May 8th

After a delicious breakfast, you will set off on the beautiful South Pacific on Nanuku I for a half-day adventure on Nanuku Resort’s private island for a toes-in-the-sand Yoga Session with Susan, guided snorkeling around the remote island and a beachside picnic lunch in paradise.

Enjoy the afternoon reading a book in your hammock, lounging poolside, or indulging in spa treatments and then gather at 4:30 for a Sunset Yoga Class with Susan. Dinner is at your leisure to enjoy.

Day 4: Tuesday, May 9th

Start the day with a beachside Yoga Class with Susan and gourmet breakfast. Afterward, choose from paddleboarding or kayaking across the smooth blue waters of the Beqa Lagoon, where you might be joined by sea turtles and other marine life along one of the world’s largest coral reefs.

Enjoy lunch and the afternoon at leisure to relax or hop on your bicycle to explore the resort and then wrap up your afternoon with a Sunset Yoga Class with Susan.

In the evening, take in a Firewalking Cultural Experience with spiritual leaders from the sacred island of Beqa to learn about the fascinating history of these men and how they prepare themselves to walk barefoot across coals that are thousands of degrees.

Then you will experience a special Movie Night and Dinner under the stars at Nanuku’s outdoor theater.

Day 5: Wednesday, May 10th

Susan will lead a morning Yoga Class to start the morning. After breakfast, you will visit a Fijian village to meet the locals, learn about their values and traditions, and hear from them why they are known as the Happiest People on the Planet.

We will enjoy lunch when we return and some downtime for relaxing. In the afternoon, you will have the option of taking a Beachside Shadow Boxing Class with Sisi or a chance to make your own “Potions” at the Apothecary Bar in the spa using local healing plants and other ingredients. Wrap up the afternoon with Sunset Yoga.

We will have a group dinner and stargazing experience with Nanuku’s Celestial Concierge.

Day 6: Thursday, May 11th

Our final Yoga session of the retreat will start the day and then we will gather for breakfast.

Afterward, you will have the chance to give back and leave your mark on Fiji with a Mangrove Planting Excursion with Nanuku Resort’s marine biologist.

Lunch will follow with time to relax and ready your bags. You will depart for Nadi International at 4PM.

Heading back to California? We recommend the direct overnight flight back to SFO or LAX that evening. Both will get you in around noon on Thursday, May 11th PST (yes, you get your day back.)
