The Experience
Created by self-described “Kiwi train geek” Howie de Vries, the EcoTrax “Velocipede” combines tandem biking with battery-assisted pedaling along a redundant stretch of sugarcane railway for a scenic ride that’s as demanding—or effortless—as you want it to be. Your guide will lead you cruising gently through beautiful changing scenery including river crossings, mangroves, rainforest, big rock cuttings, open coastline and authentic villages. The final destination is an unspoilt beach where you’ll stop to enjoy a swim or snorkel in the clear, warm waters and enjoy light refreshments.
