The Experience
Take in a sight you’ll relish: the changing of the guards— Fijian soldiers clad in impressive, starched white sulus (sarongs) and vivid red tunics—at the Presidential Palace, also known as the Government House. You’ll also explore the expansive municipal market, filled with stall after stall selling just-off-the-boat seafood and fish, and farm-fresh fruits and vegetables. At the Fiji Museum, located in Suva’s Thurston Gardens, local archaeological treasures date back 3,700 years.
